Aislinn's reading choice board task - Week 2

Radio Silence  - Acrostic Poem

Radio, Radio are you there.

Are you listening, is anybody listening.

Don’t you think that the world is bigger than school, than grades and university?

I definitely think so.

Only why was it ever created if we weren't supposed to  do it?

Suppose everything we did mattered.

If it did we would be judged on things that don’t.

Like what kind of sushi you preferred, or where you go to the doctor.

Everything is not everything.

Not all good things are coming your way.

Compromise everything apart from greatness.

Everybody body should be listening.

During PL in Week 3, read this poem and then write your own stanza. Put it in the comment section below.

Mr. Nobody
I know a funny little man,
As quiet as a mouse,
Who does the mischief that is done
In everybody’s house!
There’s no one ever sees his face,
And yet we all agree
That every plate we break was cracked
By Mr. Nobody.

’Tis he who always tears out books,
Who leaves the door ajar,
He pulls the buttons from our shirts,
And scatters pins afar;
That squeaking door will always squeak,
For prithee, don’t you see,
We leave the oiling to be done
By Mr. Nobody.

He puts damp wood upon the fire
  That kettles cannot boil;
His are the feet that bring in mud,
  And all the carpets soil.
The papers always are mislaid;
  Who had them last, but he?
There’s no one tosses them about
  But Mr. Nobody.

The finger marks upon the door
By none of us are made;
We never leave the blinds unclosed,
To let the curtains fade.
The ink we never spill;   the boots
That lying round you see
Are not our boots,—they all belong
To Mr. Nobody.

2017 Room 14 stanza:
When the whiteboard pens run out,
it was nobody but he;
The ball smashed a window;
And it definitely was not me.
When the chromebooks are left on the desks,
For all the thieves to see,
It wasn’t anyone in Room 14,

but Mr Nobody.

Plight of the Honeybee

BAN PESTICIDES IN NEW ZEALAND!
Sign this petition to support my social action.
I will use the data I collect to substantiate my persuasive letter to Jacinda Ardern, limning why we must ban pesticides in New Zealand, to support the absolutely necessary but rapidly declining honeybee.

We need honeybees. We don't need pesticides. Support the sacrifice for the future.
